This book is concerned with applications of Evolutionary Algorithms and associated strategies in the domain of engineering. Evolutionary Algorithms are general-purpose search procedures based on the mechanisms of natural selection and population genetics. These algorithms are appealing because of their simplicity, adaptability, and easy to interface. Unlike other books in the field, this book aims at a systematic treatment of the important applications of evolutionary systems to a diverse field of engineering.
